Jen’s qualifications include 21 years of teaching Baton and Dance, instructed 3 different Marching Corps, Twirling Unlimited Certified teacher & judge, National Baton Twirling Association teacher & judge, Canadian International Baton Association judge, Amateur Athletic Union member & coach, Junior Olympic Dance & Baton teacher & judge, Twirl Mania judge, 2007 Who’s Who Among American Business Women, American Aerobic Association International & International Sports Medicine Association Certified instructor, PA Certified Elementary Education and Early Childhood Development honors graduate from Clarion University of PA. Experiences include 14 years of studio Dance and Baton Training, competitive Twirler for 14 years & competitive Dancer for 6 years, Slippery Rock H.S. Feature Twirler, Clarion University Golden Girl, choreographed 3 musicals at S.R.H.S., a Local, State, & National title winner in Baton Twirling & Dance, has taught, judged & choreographed for countless studios and teams around the United States & Canada and has been the Owner & Principle Instructor of Jen’s Academy for 18 years.
Hope has 15 years of Dance, Gymnastics and Cheerleading experience. She was Varsity High School Cheerleader for 4 years, went to the UCA Cheer summer camps, coached midget Cheerleading for 2 years, was on a semi pro competitive Cheer Team, is very active in Pageant competitions & has won the Talent Star Award 6 times, has been the overall talent winner three times, was a Five Star Performer team member for Acro & Dance, has competed in Dance & Gymnastics for 8 years and has won numerous titles at the local, regional & state level in solo, duet & group events. This is Hope’s 6th year of teaching at Jen’s Academy.
Lisa has 30 years of teaching Dance, Gymnastics, Baton & Cheerleading experience. She was a USTA state and national champion twirler, Butler High School competition cheerleader for 4 years, SRU cheerleader for 2 years, Clarion University cheerleading captain for 2 years, member of Dance Masters of America, coached Moniteau Varsity Cheerleaders for 2 years and has judged several cheer tryouts in the tri-state area. Lisa has a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and a minor in Athletic Coaching. This is Lisa’s 6th year teaching at Jen’s Academy.
Olivia has 8 years of cheerleading experience, 4 years of gymnastic experience and 1 year of dance experience. Olivia was also a 5 Star Performer with Jen’s Academy in jazz and modern dance. She received both Omega and TU Regional Titles in modern dance. She has also attained a degree in Cosmetology. This is her 2nd year teaching at Jen’s Academy.
Gabrielle has 17 years of studio Dance, Gymnastic and Cheerleading training. She studied as a dance major for two years at Slippery Rock University and has nine certifications through the National Dance Education Organization. Gabrielle was involved in the dance troupe, in four musicals at Knoch High School, and she was also a cheerleader and Varsity team Captain. She won the All-American Cheerleader award and an invite to cheer in a parade in London. She has won many awards with her solos, duets, trios, and group dances as well as attended many conventions. She is a Real Estate Agent at Howard Hanna with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration. This is her 3rd year of teaching at Jen’s Academy.
Brooke has 15 years of Studio Dance & Baton training. She was a Rock-n’ette & Majorette for 4 years at S.R.H.S., Rock-n’ette Captain her Sr. year, a Clarion University Majorette, a competitive team twirler for 12 years, a 5 Star Performer team twirler for 8 years where she served as Captain, competed and won at the local, regional, state and national levels of Baton Twirling, was a student teaching assistant for 4 years and student teacher for 1 year at Jen’s Academy. Brooke graduated from Clarion University with her Bachelor’s Degree in Rehabilitative Science.This is Brooke’s 6th year teaching at Jen’s Academy.
Amber has 9 years of gymnastic and dance experience. Her experience includes tap, ballet, acro, modern, hip-hop and jazz. She was also a competitive gymnast for 6 years. She was on her school’s cheer team for 5 years and was also on the competitive squad for 2 years with which she won regional and state titles and went on to the national competition. This is Amber’s 1st year teaching at Jen’s Academy.
Emily began her training at three years old. She has recreational and competitive experience in all styles of dance, acrobatics, and cheerleading. She was a student and teacher at Jens Academy for many years before leaving briefly to run her own dance studio. During her senior year with Jen’s Academy she was awarded the 2012 Purple Rose Scholarship. She is happy to be back to Jens Academy to continue to bring her experience and knowledge to her students. Professionally, she works full time for a government agency. This is Emily’s 4th year teaching at Jen’s Academy.
Ashley has 10 years of dance experience. She was a student of Jen’s Academy and was a competitive dancer for 3 years. She currently works for Butler Health System and has been for the past 4 years. This is Ashley’s first year teaching at Jen’s Academy.
Tim has 45 years of baton, dance and gymnastic experience. He is originally from Greenville, PA where he began twirling & tumbling at a young age. He was a member of the Centurions Baton & Drum Corps. After high school, he became involved with Ohio’s Ballet Midwest and then went on to study at the School of Cleveland Ballet. He has taught throughout Ohio & Pennsylvania. This is his 1st year teaching at Jen’s Academy.
